Geotegra is a Mexican company established in 2014 as a leading service provider to the Oil & Gas Industry and the Construction Sectors. Geotegra’s core business is to provide integrated technical services for reservoir and full-field studies through "Geomodeling", a state-of-art technique, which consists of doing a subsurface scale modeling of the rock containing hydrocarbons.

Based on our Geomodeling methodology, which has been successfully developed and proved in countries such as Venezuela, Argentina, and more than 20 oil fields in Mexico, it has been possible to increase oil reserves through the implementation of full-integrated analyses and the use of several programming codes. All these activities ensure the value chain of petroleum derivatives: gasoline, oils, asphalt, plastic, fertilizers, pesticides, synthetic fabric, detergents, paints, soaps, perfumes, dyes, cosmetics, drugs, sanitary products and more.

These codes are applicable for all-type of reservoirs such as sandstones (Siliciclastic rocks), eolian, heavy oil, and fractured carbonates, among others. For carbonates, a Discrete Fracture Network (DFN) is also created. In any cases,  the "static" geological properties are fully calibrated with production history data from wells or analogous fields "dynamic properties". By using this methodology, the porosity, permeability, and rock types models are pre-conditioned to the oil production history behavior.

Finally, the “static” model is transferred to the “dynamic” model for numerical simulations based on the “J-Function” analysis establishing the rock-to-fluid system. The “J-Function" also allows to reproduce the fluids thermodynamic balance within the reservoir and is used for generating all required sets of relative permeability and capillary pressure curves, required to describe the drainage and imbibition processes.
